Mailing Regulations

48HourPrint.com is a leader in quick printing and mailing services. To help make our mailing services easier to understand, we have added this page to clarify the regulations set forth by the United States Postal Service (USPS) for all mailing projects.

These regulations will ensure that your mailing is properly handled by the USPS. If your mailing does not comply with proper layout requirements, you may incur additional postage charges and delivery delays.

If your postcard mailing is not designed properly, the USPS may reject your postcards and return them to you. Please read our "How to Design for Mailing" PDF that explains mailing specifications and where to download guideline templates.

Please note that the examples below are for our 6x9 and 4.25x6 postcards only. As always, we suggest using one of our guideline templates when planning to mail any size postcard; folded card; or brochures. Please contact one of our Customer Relations Specialists for more information by sending email to mailing@48HourPrint.com .

Frequently Asked Questions:

What sizes can be mailed using the First Class Postcard rate?

The sizes that can be mailed via first class using the first class postcard rate are 4.25" x 5.5", 4" x 6" and 4.25" x 6".
All sizes greater than 4.25" x 6" can be mailed via first class, but they do not qualify for the first class postage rate.
Depending on the size, they would mail at either a letter, flat or non-machinable postage rate.

Should a return address be included on my postcard?

It's entirely up to you. Including a return address enables you to update your list after each mailing. First class mail is returned free of charge. Standard rate mail is not returned unless an ancillary service is printed on your card. This service requires an additional payment to the US Post Office. Please contact one of our Customer Relations Specialists for more information.

* Please note we accept credit cards; certified bank checks; and money orders for all postage payments. Personal checks; company checks; and non-bank certified checks cannot be accepted.
