Postcard Mailing Regulations
48HourPrint.com is a leader in postcard printing and postcard mailing services. To help make our mailing services easier to understand, we have added this page to clarify the regulations set forth by the United States Postal Service for all postcard mailing projects.
These regulations will ensure that your post card mailing is properly handled by the US Post Office. If your postcard mailing does not comply with proper layout requirements, you may incur additional postage charges and delays.
48HourPrint.com is a leader in quick printing and postcard mailing services, but unless your postcard mailing is designed properly, the USPS may reject your post cards and return them to you.
Please note that there are other designs and layouts that may also be acceptable. If your postcard mailing design deviates from these guidelines, 48HourPrint.com can work with you to find the best solution. Contact one of our mailing service experts for more information: mailing@48HourPrint.com

Adhering to these guidelines will reduce the possibility of your post card mailing being returned by the USPS automation process. No address should be placed in this area, as the Post Office scans the entire area for recipient addresses and Zip Codes. |
DARK BLUE AREA
No Text/Graphics
The ONLY TEXT allowed in the addressing area is the recipient mailing address. 48hourprint.com recommends following this guide if you are designing postcards that will be mailed. |
Frequently Asked Questions:
What are the size requirements for sending my postcard mailing at the First Class Postcard rate?
According to the USPS requirements, the smallest mailable size is 3 1/2" x 5". The largest size for mailing at the post card rate is 4 1/4" x 6", which 48HourPrint.com offers as a regular size postcard. The higher letter rate applies to any piece larger than our regular size postcard up to 6 1/8" x 11". For Standard Mail, there is no post card rate so all postcard mailing sizes use the Standard Mail letter rate.
Should a return address be included on my postcard?
It's entirely up to you. Including a return address enables you to update your list after each mailing. You also may benefit by reducing postage costs and increased sales (your information reaches who you intend it to). First class mail is returned free of charge. Standard rate mail is not returned unless an ancillary service is printed on your card. (This service requires additional payment to the US Post Office).
* Please note we accept credit cards; certified bank checks; and money orders for all postage payments. Personal checks and non-bank certified checks cannot be accepted.
