    Help With Autoflight

    Autoflight is an entirely online system. This means there is no software for you to download and nothing for you to install on your computer.

    How to upload and preflight your files with Autoflight:

    Before you get started, please note:
    • If you have multiple page documents, you will need to upload each page as a separate file.
    • To view your final proofs, you will need Adobe Reader.

    Free Adobe Reader

    • Proofs approved by 5:00pm EST will go to print that evening.
    • Proofs approved after 5:00pm EST will be sent to print the next business day.
    • Due to the very quick turnaround times involved in our printing process, once you approve your proof(s), you cannot submit new file(s) or make changes to the order.
    • Autoflight currently supports ONLY the following file types: pdf, tiff, jpeg, bmp, psd

    File Information
    The first page of Autoflight will display your name, email address, order number, and order details as you submitted them during the order process as well as fields for selecting the files you wish to upload.

    You will need to approve that your files meet the specifications required to print properly by checking each box in the File Submission Checklist:

    • I built my files with the proper bleed.
    • I have embedded the necessary fonts with my file.
    • I understand that all colors will be converted to CMYK.
    • My images are print ready and are at a resolution of at least 300 dpi.

    Each section has a link to information that further explains the requirements.

    Once you have checked these boxes, you may begin uploading your files by clicking on the "Browse" button and selecting the correct files from your computer. Click "Upload Files" to continue.

    Conversion, Preflight, and Proofing
    Autoflight will automatically convert and preflight your file for printing, and then generate a PDF proof for you to view.

    If Autoflight finds any problems with your files during the conversion or preflight process, you will be prompted to fix your files and re-upload, or offered an automatic fix if there is one available for the particular problem in your file.

    Proof Review

    1. Review your proofs by clicking on the thumbnail images or the links provided to see your full-sized PDF proof in a separate window for both the front and back of the files.
    2. Verify the following information is correct and check off each box in the checklist provided to approve.
      • I have verified my text and it is correct.
      • I have verified my spelling and it is correct.
      • I accept this proof.
    3. If you need to fix your text or spelling or need to make any other changes, click on the "Submit new files" link just below the "Send to Press" button. Please make the necessary updates or corrections to your files and re-submit by following the same process starting from "File Information". Otherwise continue to the next part of this step.
    4. Once you check off all the proofs for your print job, the "Send to Press" button will become enabled. Click it to finalize this job and send the accepted proofs to the printing press.

    Confirmation
    Once you click the "Send to Press" button, you will be asked to confirm your files are ready for print. Click "OK" to continue.

    Finally, you will be directed to a confirmation page to confirm your files have been submitted and will be sent to print.
